Use sheer stockings as hair ties.
Wanna rock a fierce puff? Well, stop spending money on hair bands and pony tail holders that quickly lose their elasticity and snag your hair, and look in your drawer!
Simply take an old pair of sheer stockings and cut the legs lengthwise. Continue cutting horizontally to your desired length... and voila a hair tie.
To use, just create a tie or knot around your hair with medium tension. Note: Sheer is prefered because they have more slip, but regular stocking are capable of working just fine.

Awesome tip! I use black knee highs (w/ the foot cut off) for my puffs and buns. You can also make hair ties from sheer stockings (Search "maneandchic Stocking Hair Tie" on YouTube).
